Sonoco Alloyd of Dekalb Illinois is using the Silent Partner Technologies forklift safety RFID application in their facilities. This allows for “early” warning when a lift and a person are in proximity to each other. The “field” is adjustable and trigger a flashing strobe LED and sound a siren to let lift drivers and personnel know one or the other is in proximity. The forklift safety system can be configured in a multitude of ways to deal with virtually any scenario where lifts and personnel come in proximity to each other.
